I strongly believe that a teacher must take students to the limits of their educational capacity. My own educational experience includes a B.A. from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (1974), four years in the U.S. Navy (1974-78), five years with the Tulsa Public Library 1980-85),a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma City University (1989),a B. S. in Education from Langston University at Tulsa (1991). I taught 3 to 6 year olds at Undercroft Montesori School from 1985-90. I have been teaching 1st grade at Carnegie Elementary school since January of 1992. My hobbies include playing mandolin and violin. I am working on making my second mandolin.
