Kennedy Cabori is the 2025-2026 Carnegie Elementary Teacher of the Year!
Kennedy joined the Carnegie team as a pre-K teacher two years ago. We asked her a few questions to learn more about her and her role.
What led you to a career in education?
My mother was an educator for Tulsa Public Schools. She retired after over 30 years in the district. She is actually back working as a counselor at Tulsa Public Schools.
What is your favorite thing about your work?
I love the littles. They do something to make me smile everyday. I love watching the connections they make.
What is one thing you are passionate about outside of teaching?
I love cooking. I bring that into the classroom, and we have cooking lessons.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
We have a class bunny the kids adore. Class pets are so important they help students create a sense of empathy and responsibility. Carnegie is such a great school. The staff truly gets along and you can tell the positive climate when you come in the building.
